It’s that time of year again! The holidays are nigh with a reminder to support small businesses by shopping small and supporting local during Small Business Week, Nov. 26- Dec. 3, 2022

Sofia Bella is a small business that is woman, minority and veteran-owned. The money you spend with us stays in the community.

As in previous years, we’re partnering with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce and other small businesses with special holiday deals.

My Favorite Vets

We Salute Our Veterans

My favorite veteran is my father, Vincent, who served in the U.S. Navy. In fact, I would not be here today if my father wasn’t a sailor. Dad didn’t have a girl in every port, but he found one in Rota, Spain to fall in love with. That’s my Mom. Ahh, thanks Dad!

My other favorite is my business partner, Glen. He says he spent the waning days of his misspent youth as a U.S. Army officer. This young captain was stationed in West Germany toward the end of the Cold War. I think it was time well spent. He’s organized, quick and takes charge.

Besides Glen, his father served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and his Uncle Anton was an Army private who waded ashore at Normandy on D-Day. Sadly, Uncle Anton did not survive the war.

Thanks to all who served and you live in our hearts forever.

If you prefer a more sedate experience, our weekday appointments are perfect for you. We’re also open on Mondays for appointments.

If you like the excitement and energy of others, then weekend appointments are for you.

And if you want your own fashion show and party, ask about our VIB (Very Important Bride) plan.
