Wedding planning is stressful, so here are tips to make your experience a chill one:

1. If you are ordering a custom gown, plan on ordering one year before the ceremony. The dress can take six or more months depending on the supply chain. Also, plan on two months for alterations. And the rest of the time is contingency and stress reduction.
2. Use this handy checklist to plan with.
3. Draft your tribe and yikes(!), even the groom to help. Your groom is probably willing. He’s likely learned to stay out of the way from Dad. If you ask, groom will follow your lead and lend a hand. After all, it’s worth an ask.
4. You can get ideas and inspiration from bridal expos. Visit at least one.
5. Have fun and follow your heart. It is your big day, don’t let anyone derail it.
