Sofia Bella Bridal is a proud member of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce and May is their 31-Day Salute to Our Armed Forces. We’re also proud that the Sofia Bella families have also served their country.
My favorite veteran is my father, Vincent, who served in the U.S. Navy. In fact, I would not be here today if my father wasn’t a sailor. Dad didn’t have a girl in every port, but he found one in Rota, Spain to fall in love with. That’s my Mom. Ahh, thanks Dad!
My other favorite is my business partner, Glen. He says he spent the waning days of his misspent youth as a U.S. Army officer. This young captain was stationed in West Germany toward the end of the Cold War. I think it was time well spent. He’s organized, quick and takes charge.
Besides Glen, his father served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and his Uncle Anton was an Army private who waded ashore at Normandy on D-Day. Sadly, Uncle Anton did not survive the war.
